The file compression speed of the Gigabye is a couple seconds off the pace set by the MSI at stock speeds. However it makes up the gap when both are overclocked, and marginally leads the pack overall.
File Decompression & Decryption:
The two RAR archives created during the compression and encryption tests were then decompressed and decrypted.

Despite the lazy raw SATA performance, because the CPU is required to decrypt the RAR file in this test, the Gigabyte as fast as the other boards on test at stock speeds. However, it was marginally faster than the other boards when all were overclocked.
